Full studio involvement
Dancers who want to compete tap routines but do not want to commit to an all-genre studio are welcome to make The Tap Space their studio home! This track is intended for dancers who are not part of a competition team or program at another studio. Full studio involvement with The Tap Space includes:
-Solo choreography and weekly solo lessons
-Potential involvement in duos, trios, and/or small groups (not guaranteed)
-Weekly tech training opportunities
-Registration for 4-5 regional competitions and access to optional add-on competitions/conventions
-Members-only pricing for choreography and lessons
In addition to standing weekly solo lessons and tech classes, studio members can sign up for drop-in classes, supplemental solo cleaning sessions, and individual tech lessons as desired.
PRICING INFORMATION
There is no tuition cost associated with full studio involvement. Payment for respective services will be collected as services occur, meaning: a one-time choreography fee must be paid at the time of initial choreography of any routine, weekly lessons will be charged after they occur each week, and competition registration fees will be charged at the time of registration for each competition.
Members-only pricing for services is as follows:
-$450 choreography fee per routine
-$80 for each 1-hour choreography session
-$40 for each 30-minute choreography session
-$40 for each 30-minute cleaning session
-$40 for each 30-minute tech private
-$25 for each drop-in class
Solo choreography
Dancers who belong to other studios can elect to have their tap solo choreographed by Hilary at The Tap Space. Dancers will receive choreography from Hilary but compete their solo under their home studio. All choreography and lessons will take place at The Tap Space; Hilary will not travel to any studios to provide choreography or lessons.
In order to receive choreography, dancers must provide written permission from their studio director. The Tap Space recognizes that all studios have different policies around outside choreography and wants to be fully in alignment with studio directors prior to providing choreography.
While Hilary hopes to be able to provide ongoing solo cleaning sessions to dancers throughout the year, she cannot guarantee standing lesson slots at this time. Dancers are encouraged to establish a regular rehearsal schedule with a teacher at their studio and sign up for available lesson slots at The Tap Space throughout the year as desired.
PRICING INFORMATION
A one-time choreography fee must be paid prior to the first lesson. Payment for each choreography session and cleaning session will be collected at the time of booking. All lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time to receive a full refund. Lessons cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled time will not be eligible for a refund.
Pricing for solo services is as follows:
-$500 choreography fee
-$90 for each 1-hour choreography session
-$45 for each 30-minute choreography session
-$45 for each 30-minute cleaning session
Supplemental training
Dancers hoping to refine their tap technique can take advantage of weekly drop-in offerings at The Tap Space.
Each week, a select number of 30-minute lessons will be available for individual tech lessons or solo cleaning sessions. Regular group combo drop-in classes will also be held at The Tap Space. Anyone is welcome to grab an open slot at any time throughout the year.
